Join Stephie from Hoop & Fred for this beginner-friendly embroidery workshop and make a pair of ‘Moon & Stars’ embroidery hoops!

This workshop is designed for an adult and a child/young person (age recommendation 8 – 16) to come along and create together.

All the materials will be provided and you’ll take a full embroidery kit, and stitch guide home with you.  Stephie will guide you every stitch of the way, and the patterns you will use will be adaptable to age and skill level, so if you are avid crafters or complete beginners you’ll go home having created something beautiful, and feel confident to keep on stitching!

FAQs

My child is younger than 8 can they come?

If your child is younger than the recommended age range but love getting creative, then yes feel free to bring them down. But please be aware that we are using regular embroidery needles, etc. and they may need a little more guidance from you.

Can I bring more than one child with me?

This class is designed for one adult and one child to come along in pairs, as younger stitchers may need a little more guidance from their grown-up. However, if your children are very creatively confident, or slightly older, then yes you can bring more than one child. Please be aware we are using regular embroidery needles, and thread cutters will be out on the table.

Can we come as a lone adult, or a pair of adults?

Yes, but this workshop is designed to work in pairs (one of you will receive a star hoop, and one a moon). All the instructions will be adaptable to skill level, there will be an easier child-friendly version of the moon design, and one for more confident stitchers. If you come as a lone adult, you will just receive one hoop, in the star pattern.

This is a one-and-a-half-hour workshop. Children must be supervised by an adult and we recommend ages 8+ for this activity due to the use of a sewing needle.

Booking is essential as places are limited.
