Come along and learn all about Fun Palaces: what they are, where they come from, and how to make one yourself!

Fun Palaces is a campaign for cultural democracy – the idea that everyone should have a say in what counts as culture, where it happens, who gets to make it and who gets to take part. This workshop brings local cultural organisations together to learn more about the history of Fun Palaces and how we can empower our community to create these events themselves.

Fun palace events are hugely varied depending on the interests of their makers, which means that they can reach people across all sectors of the community, and can be tailored to suit different access needs. The inclusion of Tiny Fun Palaces supports people to create private events in their own homes with family and friends, while still being part of the national network.

We will share Tiny Fun Palaces packs which you can distribute to your own networks for inspiration, as well as holding group discussions about the ways in which we can engage our audiences.
