This immersive event invites you to discover Ukrainian culture through a vibrant blend of live music, dance, traditional costume, storytelling and interactive moments.

The programme is designed in thematic blocks, creating a flowing, open-format experience — you are welcome to arrive at any time, explore, and stay for as long as you wish.

  • traditional Ukrainian costume showcases from different regions
  • live performances inspired by rituals and folklore
  • expressive dance pieces and live vocal performances
  • the distinctive sound of the bandura, a traditional Ukrainian instrument
  • a short cultural film offering deeper insight into Ukrainian heritage
  • a light, engaging workshop with simple movement inspired by Ukrainian dance

This event is created and presented by Kryla Culture CIC, creators of the Ukrainian Heritage Show, and is delivered as part of Refugee Week 2026 in Blackburn, supported by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council (including the Welcome to BwD initiative) and in collaboration with Ukrainian Hub “Brama”.
