Hussnain Hanif is an award-winning Nasheed exponent, Lancashire singing champion, music consultant, and seasoned television and radio broadcaster with a dynamic presence across the UK and international stages. Specialising in Nasheed – a poetic form of devotional music rooted in the 1,400-year-old Sufi tradition – Hussnain brings a modern, soulful expression to this art of praise, love, and spiritual harmony.
A familiar voice on the airwaves, he previously presented Thursday Night Takeover on BBC Radio Lancashire and continues to contribute to a range of BBC platforms. He is the co-founder of the world’s first-ever Nasheed Choir and the founder of The Nasheed Choir in Bradford, pioneering a unique choral experience that bridges cultural heritage with contemporary musical education.
In addition to his independent projects, Hussnain also collaborates with Music for the Many, supporting their mission to make music accessible and transformative for young people across diverse communities. His work has impacted over 80 schools across the UK, where he has integrated Nasheed into music curricula and trained students in vocal technique.
Driven by the belief that music unites, heals, and elevates, Hussnain champions its power to foster peace, tolerance, and shared humanity.
