Your Guide to Eating Desserts in Blackburn
If you have a sweet tooth, do we have some treats for you…
For many, dessert is the best part of the meal and sometimes it’s the only thing you want. We thought we’d pull together the best places in Blackburn to get delicious dessert, you’re welcome!
The Dessert Specialists
We have to start with some venues that live just to deliver desserts!
We start with Heavenly Deserts because, well it’s obvious really, it’s in the name! We could just suggest the signature Croffle and leave it there but we’ll also remind you they have a massive menu, dedicated to sweet treats and have dessert tapas from around the world!
Haute Dolci is well know locally for it’s stunning two-story venue, where they serve up five star desserts in stylish surroundings – taking dessert to the next level.
We’ll end with the newest dessert kid in town, The Grumpy Baker. They simply call themselves ‘The Best Cheesecake in the Country’ so we couldn’t possibly leave them off our list! The cheesecake is not the only delight they serve up, among the other artisan desserts they offer, you could try the Milk Cakes, Waffles or the classic Chocolate Fudge Cake!

Fancy a cuppa with that dessert?
Cake may be the best dessert of the lot, so we’ve got to recommend a couple of tea and coffee houses in town that serve up amazing cakes as your dessert.
Mad Hatters Cupcakes & Tearoom – it says it right there! Known for its perfect cupcakes, all washed down with a lovely cup of tea, the ideal way to enjoy any cake we think.
Caffe Impresso is a retreat for the Coffee and Cake lovers of Blackburn. Aside from the delicious brownies and cookie dough options, you might also partake of the fine pancakes as well.

Dessert on the go
Sometimes you don’t have time to sit and devour your dessert, instead you need to grab something and run.
One of our favourite new places to visit in The Mall is Frucolate. When we said earlier that cake was the king of desserts, we were wrong. We meant chocolate of course and Frucolate covers this perfectly. Choose from strawberries, bananas or grapes as a fruit base and then pour beautiful Belgium chocolate on top or pick the viral sensation that is knafeh pistachio. Then top that off with either Oreos, Biscoff or Marshmallows.
Keeping the chocolate theme, we’d recommend the chocolate muffins and brownies in The Ginger Muffin as a perfect dessert snack to pick up and eat on the go. Conveniently placed in the town centre, they are known for excellent service.

Dessert as your last course
We’ve given you a lot of options for just getting dessert but if you fancy your sweet treat after your meal, how about a couple of suggestions of great restaurants that have lovely desserts.
Let us start with Masala Fusion. A curry house? Yes, and we promise you won’t be disappointed. We begin with the Molten Chocolate Cake, which is as good as it sounds. They can also offer you a variety of Milk Cakes or a cheese bomb, as well as our personal choice Baklava Sundae!
Kobeda Palace is another favourite of Discover Blackburn but I’m not sure everyone knows about the selection of desserts they offer. Choose from Crepes or Waffles with delightful toppings or a fine selection of Cakes.
