Having Fun in Blackburn

Make the most of any trip to Blackburn with some of the great activities and venues that are perfect for you and your mates

A visit to Blackburn is a great day out for teenagers and their friends. We wanted to highlight a few of the places you could add to your itinerary if you and some friends want to make a day of it.

A bite to eat then shopping at The Mall

Walking around Blackburn is bound to make you hungry, so whatever time you decide to pop into town, we highly recommend a little trip just off King William Street to the always popular Ginger Muffin. Sandwiches, noodle soups, jacket potatoes and plenty of amazing cakes – lots of options for any palate, including one of the best Halal selections in town.

Obviously, there is always time for a little retail therapy and The Mall is a vibrant and trendy shopping destination right in the middle of the town.

Located centrally, The Mall offers a wide range of stores, from fashionable boutiques to popular high-street brands. Your group can explore the latest trends, find unique accessories, or simply enjoy window shopping.

The variety of dining options within The Mall also makes it a good spot for a quick bite if all that shopping is making you hungry.

Bubbles and Boba

Getting around all the options in Blackburn can be thirsty work, so why not pop in and as they like to say in Bubbles and Boba, experience bliss! They have you covered with milk & fruit drinks, coffees & teas, as well as brown sugar drinks, all designed to give you an energy boost for the rest of the day.

Choose your flavour from around 50 options, before picking your topping of choice from the 20+ on display – not forgetting to select the level of sweetness you want. Drink in or grab your drink and get back outside and continue your shopping!

Picking up some clothes

If you fancy fitting in a trip to buy some of the latest street gear, then we highly recommend popping into Remix Casuals. The skateboard and streetwear retailer has been around since the late 80’s and is popular with all ages.

They cover a wide range of clothes and it’s heaven for sneaker heads! At this time of year, you have a pretty good chance of finding their summer sale in full swing, so you might even find a bargain or two.

Time to Properly Geek Out

For the final stop in our itinerary for any young people walking town, we had to point you in the direction of Geek Retreat. Not only does it have all sorts of cool merchandise, but it’s another chance for a drink or snack refuel stop.

As the shop themselves say, they are on a mission to share their love of all things geeky – sounds like a pretty good mission to us, so why wouldn’t you pop in? You have the opportunity to find something cool whilst drinking a shake.

You can buy, trade or even game in-store, allowing you to extend your adventure beyond just shopping!

Hopefully, a full day is lined up for you to maximise your day out in Blackburn. We truly believe Blackburn is a fantastic town, and with the options above and all the other great places to visit, it can be a great day whether you fancy strolling around by yourself or with a group of mates.
